Airventure 2012

The Garmin 600 and an autopilot are a wonderful combination.

Sabrina receiving training on the use of checklists, preflight checks, and system setup in the G600 equipped 1955 Cessna 310.

Bull’s Nest, Inc. is headed to Oshkosh for Airventure 2012. But, this grand adventure won’t end (or even start) there. Starting from San Antonio, TX we are traveling to Saint Louis, MO; Oshkosh, WI; Champaign, IL; Toledo, OH; Evansville, IN; and Nashville, TN. Along the way we will be tweeting, posting, and blogging. I’ve enlisted the assistance of my children so, expect the perspective of my 17 year-old daughter, Sabrina and my 14 year-old son, Pierce.

We will be making the journey in a 1955 Cessna 310 rented from Boerne Stage Airfield (www.5c1.net) and will proudly represent the Alamo Liaison Squadron (www.als-cannonfield.com) while camping in the Vintage Aircraft Camping area at Airventure.

We will also be visiting family and friends along the way. And, Sabrina will be visiting colleges she may be interested in attending next year. All-in-all, it should be an adventure.

Pierce is planning to get photographs of his pet rock, Piere, everywhere we go on this trip.

Hey this is Bill’s daugter Sabrina. I am 17 years old, a senior in high school and planing on recieving my pilots license. For this trip we are visiting several universities that I may want to go next year. Today we walked around one of the campuses of Washington University here in St. Louis. I loved the architecture of the campus and the overall feel of the university; it is just too bad we could not take a guided tour.
I am looking forward to tomorrow with the visit to the zoo and the arch.
    So here we go.

    Sabrina 😛
